Being nude is fun, healthy and good for the soul. It promotes body acceptance, age acceptance, freedom, increased self confidence and celebrates God's greatest creation. It exposes the whole body to the air and sun, and gives people an added incentive to be fit. It is not about sex but about wholesome naturist family values. Unwholesome curiosity about the naked body, which is often the source of lust, will be removed; fuel for fantasy will be gone. Our children will grow up with healthy attitudes toward the human body and easily understand the changes in their own bodies.

THE UNITED STATES LAGS FAR BEHIND most of the rest of Western Civilization in its negative attitude toward the human body. While most of Europe is comfortable with the concept of nude recreation on beaches and in vacation resorts, here in the U.S., conservative political action groups seek to criminalize even the most innocent exposure of the human body. Often these groups gain support by purporting to defend "family values" or "Christian morality." Although these groups are growing in political power, they represent only a small portion of the American population.

I became a nudist in 1989, after swearing for a year there was no way I'd ever even try it, and I meant it! Thanks to a patient, but persistent, friend, I was finally talked into going for what I was told would be a life-changing experience. What an understatement that turned out to be! Of course, the first 10 minutes were terrifying, but by the end of the first day, I never wanted to leave and my life WAS changed forever. I knew I would be a nudist for the rest of my life! It was the most profoundly positive experience I've ever had.

Ultimately we are "Nude by design." It is man who has chosen to "hide" the beautiful and wonderful creation of God and destroy the more intimate relationships we could have. (Gen. 3) It is also man who views the nude body as unpresentable, inappropriate and shameful. Many well-intentioned people have taught us to be clothed for sake of dignity (worth) and morality.
